What are the factors that affect the surface roughness when machining precision parts?

1. The influence of cutting force and conflict force. Precision parts processing tool cutting edge and face workpiece general kneading and conflict, may cause plastic deformation of metal materials, resulting in the existing residual area distortion or groove deepens, at the moment, the surface roughness increase processing brittle materials will be cut into broken particles, after processing the appearance of grain collapse traces, leaving many pits, make the appearance rough.

2. Influence of detrital tumor accumulation. When the tool cuts plastic at a certain speed, some small particles on the chip will be attached to the tip of the front tool face, forming a high hardness accumulation edge, which can replace the front tool face and cutting edge cutting.

When the conflict force between the chip and the stacking edge is greater than the cold welding strength between the stacking edge and the front tool face, or when it is affected or oscillated, the stacking edge will fall off, so that the new upper edge will gradually occur in the future. The composition, growth and shedding of the edge will seriously affect the surface roughness of the parts.

3. The influence of scaly thorns. During the cutting process, because of the chip conflict and cold welding on the cutting surface during the machining of precision parts, the chip will regularly linger on the front tool surface, thus kneading the newly processed appearance. In severe cases, the exterior can tear. The exterior forms scales, making the exterior rough and uneven.
